Jeaveau
Jeuveau® is a relatively new injectable neuromodulator that works similarly to Botox® and Dysport®, using botulinum toxin type A to temporarily reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Sometimes called “Newtox,” Jeuveau® is primarily marketed for aesthetic purposes, particularly to address frown lines (glabellar lines) between the eyebrows.
How Jeuveau® Works:
Jeuveau® temporarily blocks nerve signals to specific facial muscles, reducing their activity. This softens dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated expressions, giving the skin a smoother appearance. The effects are temporary, and treatments are typically needed every 3–4 months to maintain results.
Key Characteristics of Jeuveau:
1. Fast-Acting: Jeuveau® provides noticeable results within 2–3 days, with full effects visible within a week.
2.Aesthetic Focus: Jeuveau® is the first neuromodulator developed exclusively for cosmetic purposes in the U.S., without additional medical applications.
3. Purified Formula: Manufactured with a high level of purity using Hi-Pure™ technology, which removes unnecessary proteins to enhance efficacy and minimize risk.
Common Treatment Areas:
Jeuveau® is FDA-approved for:
-Glabellar Lines: Primarily used to reduce vertical frown lines between the eyebrows, giving a more relaxed and refreshed look.
It can also be used off-label for other dynamic wrinkles, such as:
-Crow’s Feet: Fine lines at the outer corners of the eyes.
-Forehead Lines: Horizontal lines across the forehead.
-Bunny Lines: Wrinkles on the sides of the nose.
-Lip Lines: Fine lines around the mouth.
Benefits of Jeuveau®:
-Natural-Looking Results**: Jeuveau® softens wrinkles while maintaining facial expressiveness.
-Quick and Convenient: The treatment takes about 10–15 minutes with minimal downtime, and patients can usually resume daily activities immediately.
-Long-Lasting Effects: Results typically last around 3–4 months, similar to other neuromodulators.
Safety and Side Effects:
Jeuveau® is generally safe when administered by a licensed professional. Side effects are usually mild and can include redness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site.
Jeuveau® is not recommended for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have allergies to botulinum toxin.
